In San Jose, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Jose follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was feeling like a iced coffee and none in my area so I looked at this place up. It’s a little bit hard to find because it’s in a shopping center area. But once located you walk in and it’s a nice clean welcoming atmosphere. I have plenty of iced coffee and Matcha drink options. Didn’t seem like they had a lot of food options. I ordered the banana latte and it was pretty good. It wasn’t too sweet, it could’ve used more espresso, but was less than seven dollars so that’s a plus.

Spectra is a pretty interesting spot to grab a drink and a bite. The iced coffee was delicious and the banh mi, too. The only thing that struck me as weird was that the avocado toast was the same price as a much larger banh mi. Not sure why they would be the same price, but either way, the sandwich was tasty and a good deal 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cute cafe! Lots of seats! Conducive! But it got pretty packed because it’s in a very high traffic shopping square. The baristas were really nice, efficient, and they were jolly! The flat white I ordered was served in a 12oz and should have been in a 6-8oz instead, BUT it still tasted fantastic. They used medium roast! The coffee was strong, had fruity/cherry and dark chocolate nuances! The banana nut bread even after being heated, wad a but dry, good flavor, but texture wasnt as nice as I had wanted. Still a decent cafe with specialty beans!

Great spot for coffee, tea, pastries, fancy toasts, and Vietnamese sandwiches and waffles. We've been wanting to check this place out for awhile since it took over an old Starbucks. We got the pandan waffle, strawberry waffle, grilled pork banh mi, and the strawberry tea. The grilled pork was really tasty-- I was impressed. The staff was really nice too! We want to try to Vietnamese coffee and other waffle flavors next. I would come here again! Nice local spot.

Stumbled upon this eatery while looking for a coffee shop after a grueling Costco run! It is super conveniently located right next to the Costco Almaden. Not only is the coffee excellent, but the banh mi is one of the better ones we’ve tried….Especially the bread! I love that there is a limited choice, but whatever is made is made well. We’ve tried the chicken and the veggie/tofu banh mi. But really the bread is the best part….I know I said that once already. The sandwich could do with some more veggies but you can always pay for some extras. We’ve been there three times and there’s a host of younger people working in the store and the service is always pleasant and quick. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside. If you’re in the mood for coffee and some quick bites, this is the place.
